This Morning

Knowing it is only because of You that I am alive;

With Your great mercy

 And unwavering love,

I am saved.  

For I cursed You,
Yet You prayed for me.

I was constantly unfaithful,

Still You called my name.
Finally, I ran and hid from the sight of my sin,
But Your pursuing never ceased.

 

You knew just where to find me,

And You approached me tenderly.

I was in the pit drowning in shame,
When you saw me.

You took my hand, wiped my tears,

And spoke life over me.

For You saw me when I felt forgotten,
You reached for me when I was downhearted.
In my worst day still You had delight for me;
You saw beauty behind my darkness.

It was Your longing for me, that protected me.
You have never failed me.

Therefore, I will rejoice in my salvation,

Giving thanks to the God who saves.

I will tell of Your forgiveness,

And boast to all of Your faithfulness.    
I put my trust in You,

Because are worthy of my life.
