This page is under construction this week, below is my current support letter detailing what I'm currently doing! blessings!
Greetings Friends and family members! It has been quite sometime since you have received an update via news letter, others of you this is the first time. So this letter may not be much of an update, but more an introduction. Either way I hope this letter finds you well, as I pray for all of those who receive it. I am currently, and have been for nearly 5 years now, on staff at the International House of Prayer. Where I serve both in the prayer room, and in leadership. For those of you who do not know, the House of prayer, is a missions base where 365 days a year 24 hours a day we pray for the world and for our nation. We have about 1,000 people on staff, and 200 hundred people at night (from midnight -6am) which is the section that I help give leadership to. For the sake of keeping this letter succinct, more info about IHOP can be found at www.ihop.org, or my website stated above. With that said, the easiest way to describe “IHOP” is we are like a ‘protestant monastery’. I and those here have dedicated our lives solely to God. We have given up living a normal life for the purpose of seeking the Lord, being ministers of the gospel, and proclaiming Jesus to the world. Right now I currently am helping to lead 200 hundred Young adults in this lifestyle. Also helping to mentor, train, and lead 80-90 interns that come here from around the world every 3 months. Thus giving me an 80 hour work week. What does that entail for me? · Teaching classes · Counseling young adults · 35 hours in the prayer room weekly · Training people in ministry and life skills · Ministering to inner-city kids and the homeless · Studying the word and receiving on going training and schooling myself. When you do the math it comes out to 80 hours a week. Recently A very good friend, and supporter of mine helped me buy a house, which has been such a blessing. I rent out three of the rooms to help pay the mortgage, the rest I cover. It will be an asset to me in the long run, and quite enjoyable for me in the short. God has blessed me generously these past years with many great and faithful supporters… so why this letter? Well I’m hoping to gain more support. Because of some outstanding hospital bills, and things around the house that need to be fixed, my monetary needs have increased. I’m hoping to raise $1,500.- $2000. a month. I currently have $800.- $900. (depending on the month) On my website on the ‘support’ page, I’ve made a list of my expenses, and will be posting how much money comes in and where it goes regularly. So that you can be sure your donations are being spent wisely. Donations by credit card can also be made on that page. For Tax deduction purposes you can make checks out to IHOP-KC with my name in the “memo” area, otherwise make them out to Zack Hensley. No gift is to small. As I pour my time and energy into hundreds of people every day, I’m asking you if you would be willing to pour into me financially. So that I can continue to labor on the behalf of others. This letter has been written to be short and to the point, therefore many things can be expounded on. If you have any questions feel free to call or e-mail, I’d love to answer any questions, or simply just hear from you. I look forward to connecting with many of you! Sincerely, Zack Hensley
